 Supersede Control - Book Review:
What a great book Pierre! It describes many of the things you have taught me, and some of the things I (surprisingly) instinctively do, so well. It leaves me with a couple of impressions: I will have to re-read this many times - so much to absorb. Much more to learn. I thought I had reached my limit at Dezzi with my car, now I'm not so sure. I need to experience other platforms / cars, especially those without drivers aids and with manual boxes. I think it's time for some dedicated coaching. This is a compelling and beautifully written book that kept me engaged from start to finish. Pierre explains his journey—from where he began learning the art of racing to where he is today—in a way that is accessible and easy to understand, even for a layperson. I especially appreciated how he reflects on specific moments in his life, sharing the lessons he learned about handling different aspects of racing. His writing style is clear and engaging, making it an easy read that keeps you turning the pages. The book gave me a deeper understanding of the nuances of racing, and aspiring racers in particular could learn a great deal from it. Yet another great family track day hosted by Supersede Control. The cars were spectacular. The driving was top class. The weather was great. The day was epic. Drivers enjoyed ample track time during structured open sessions. Two 10-lap Sprint Races added excitement with good, clean racing. Sun Moodley took overall honours in the BigFoot Porsche 991 GT3 Cup car, Anand Naidoo secured 2nd place in the SA Autotech BMW, änd Johan Smit secured 3rd spot on the podium in his Porsche 991 GTS. A great day at the track was enjoyed by all. We thank all who attended. See you at the next Supersede Control Dezzi Track Day on 25 July 2026. |
